Weekly round-up from your local Neighbourhood Team |

Good Afternoon,
Aldridge Neighbourhood Team have been busy over recent weeks,
Aldridge Central & South Ward Aldridge volunteer gardeners work hard to plant flowers throughout the year to enhance the village centre. Unfortunately, there are individuals who do not appreciate the time and effort this takes and see fit to pull out the flowers and throw them to the ground! We are in touch with the gardeners about this, we are working with partner agencies and reviewing CCTV. Also, we will be increasing patrols and will continue to conduct drop in visits and surgeries at the library, community centre & other locations in Aldridge central.
Aldridge North & Walsall Wood Ward The team are continuing reassurance patrols of KFC, Oak Park Active Living Centre, Co-operative Food, Lichfield Road & the Royal Exchange derelict public house due to periodic antisocial behaviour at these locations in Walsall Wood. We are working with partners to combat this. We visited residents who have had a visit from a bogus caller to their address. Luckily, they were vigilant and did not open the door. We gave them crime prevention advice.
Pheasey Park Farm Ward The team conducted a warrant under Section 23 of the misuse of Drugs Act, 1971 after multiple reports from local residents around a property.
Streetly Ward
Members of the team attended a PACT meeting at Streetly Sports Association last week where newly appointed councillors and members of the public attended. Concerns were raised around speeding and car crime. We advised of our actions to combat this as a police service, including hi-vis patrols as well as plain clothes patrols in unmarked vehicles late at night & into the early hours. Members of our team are due to be trained in the speed laser guns over the coming months. We can then carry out more speeding operations. We are also looking to conduct joint patrols with the fire service around speeding and its consequences.

✅ Crime Prevention Tips: BE VIGILANT AROUND BOGUS CALLERS TO YOUR HOME! Bogus callers can appear legitimate and professional, with identity badges, uniforms and a friendly manner, don't be fooled! Only open the door and engage with anyone who you have pre-arranged to visit your home for an appointment or to carry out home improvements. Only use reputable companies with good reviews If you are concerned about a persistent visitor who wont leave, call 999!
